"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Owen: He's got all his chicks in a row. My sweet blue-eyed boy is enjoying spring. We collected all of his rabbits, chicks and ducks and put them in his reading nook with all his spring books.

"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Owen: All snuggly up with daddy for a nap. Those are the best kind. It doesn't look like there is anymore room for momma.

Our willow tree

This week has been full of beautiful spring days. We decided to take Owen on an outing to where Paul proposed to me. A willow tree that I played under as a little girl and imagined having my first kiss under. It was the tree Paul proposed to me under and gave me my first kiss. The arbor over our cake table at our wedding reception was made from its branches. I loved watching our son romp around under it and remembering that special spring night when Paul got down on one knee.

"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Owen: He loves to look at interesting details. He almost goes cross eyed looking so closely. This week he investigated a little lady bug, white blossoms on a tree and an itty bitty snail.

"A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013."

Owen: Everywhere he goes his "Baa" goes. He has never had a particular stuffed animal he preferred till last week. He found this "Baa" among his other animals in a bin in his bedroom. They have been together since.
